Southland's naturist club, Southern Naturally, will be open for two days this weekend for anyone interested in learning more about the club.
To run on Sunday and Monday, the open days will give people an opportunity to meet club members, learn what the club has to offer and find out about the naturist lifestyle. Club secretary Deryn said naturism was not about sex, but about getting back to the natural form.
"There's a lot of people out there that feel most comfortable when they are not hampered by clothing," she said. A barbecue lunch, as well as morning and afternoon tea, would be provided both days, while anyone interested in taking up the naturist lifestyle could make use of a bed and breakfast option, she said.
The club is based on the corner of Guise and Aparima Rds in Otautau.
